What Is a Lead?
On Go Overseas, a Lead refers to a prospective student or individual who is actively seeking meaningful experiences abroad—whether it’s studying, volunteering, teaching, or interning—and aligns with the opportunities your organization offers. These Leads represent potential participants who are genuinely interested in your programs and looking to take the next step by learning more or signing up.
How Do Leads Connect With You?
When a Lead is interested in your program, they’ll click the Request Info button available on your profile and program listings. This opens a form where they can provide their contact details, specific interests, and any questions they may have for you.
This simple, user-friendly process ensures you’re connected with individuals who are actively looking to engage.
What You Get with the Free Plan
As part of the Starter free plan, you can access up to 5 Leads. Here’s how it works:
- Once a Lead submits their request, their information will appear in your Go Overseas Dashboard under Leads > Leads Inquiry.
- You’ll see their full inquiry details, including:
- Contact information
- Program(s) they’re interested in
- Any specific questions or messages they included
This allows you to follow up directly and start building a relationship with the prospective student right away.
⚡Pro tip: if you have enable to receive notifications, you will receive an email each time you get a new Lead.
Make the Most of Your Leads
Since the free plan includes a limited number of Leads, it’s important to act quickly and thoughtfully. Reach out promptly, personalize your communication, and answer any questions they may have to help guide them through their decision-making process.
What Changes With a Paid Subscription Plan
If you choose to upgrade to a paid subscription, the way you receive Leads will change. Instead of collecting Leads through our site, you will benefit from direct traffic. This means that interested users will be sent directly to your website to inquire or apply, streamlining your internal process.
When it comes to experiences abroad, first impressions matter. Our user interviews revealed that direct traffic offers a faster, more seamless experience that builds trust and drives conversions—especially when travelers are making quick decisions on the go. Removing friction at this critical moment can be the difference between a booking and a bounce.
While you’ll no longer see individual Leads on your Go Overseas dashboard, you will gain access to performance data under Dashboard > Campaign > Analytics. This includes insights into:
- Pageviews
- Clicks
- Click-Through Rate
📒 Please note: Once a Lead leaves our platform and lands on your site, Go Overseas cannot track their actions further. That’s why we rely on our partners' input on Lead conversions and outcomes.
